Bandai To Announce Gundam Assault Survive?

Gundam Battle Universe

A product listing at Amazon Japan seems to suggest that our next Gundam game will be Gundam Assault Survive, set for release in the country this March. Judging from the title, it’s probably not the latest game in the Gundam Battle series (Gundam Battle Universe screen above), which already have four PSP games so far. The answer will probably in the upcoming issue of Weekly Famitsu this week.

Update: This is more or less confirmed by another online retailer Rakuten who says this is currently under development by the Gundam Battle team. It appears to be a team-based action game with maps that change in real-time. Among the anime to be included are Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and Mobile Suit Gundam 00, MS count is more than 300 units and the amount of characters included is said to be 100. Customization plays a big part on the game too with features to create your own character.

Armored Core Last Raven Portable PV

I have now lost count on the number of Armored Core ports for PSP (well, there are three actually) but can’t really blame From Software especially when each of them sold quite well, thanks to superb graphics like the one above for Armored Core Last Raven Portable, which will be out March in Japan. The new stuff for PSP is 4-player support through the Ad Hoc mode, branching scenarios, new parts and new Armored Core. Check out the official website for more info and screens.

Gundam vs. Gundam: What’s Inside NEXT-PLUS Mode

Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam Next Plus

We knew Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam Next Plus comes with an original mode for PSP called NEXT-PLUS from previous report, players can form their own MS team to take on various missions to gain Experience Points. The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu shares more details about the mode’s Skill System, Special Missions and multiplayer.

Experience Points can be used to buy Skills, which are unique to each MS and can be assigned to your 4-member team before going into a mission (there are more than 250 of them). Special Missions can be unlocked once certain conditions have been met, the mission structure is displayed as a branching tree as shown in the lower left of the picture (click for large view). You can also co-op with or fight against your friends in NEXT-PLUS Mode (local multiplayer only). The former should help you on the tougher missions while the latter take place on special map and players can set their own rules to determine the winner.
