Pretty nice theme song there for Tokyo Mono Hara Shi: Karasu No Mori Gakuen Kitan, Atlus’ upcoming RPG for PSP (more info in this post). Game is set for Spring 2010 in Japan.

Nippon Ichi finally revealed its “Hero Transformation Project” in the latest issue of DengekiPlayStation (now online) and it’s an “Dungeon RPG” featuring a newbie hero who accidentally acquired some world-saving skills. Zettai Hero Kaizou Keikaku (roughly translate at Ultimate Hero Transformation Plan) is currently being made by the Disgaea team and is set for release in 2010. More info after the jump.

Nippon Ichi is remaking La Pucelle: Hikari no Seijo Densetsu Nishuu (La Pucelle Tactics in the US) as La Pucelle: Ragnarok for PSP this November with new scenarios, full voice, new bosses from Disgaea (Etna, Laharl, Prinny and Flonne) and also a fair bits of user friendlier enhancements. What it could be? The headline of this flyer says “Hero Transformation Project Starts” and Disgaea’s Prinny can be seen in one of the transformation. Looks like something along the line of Prinny: Ore ga Shujinkou de Iinsuka? (aka Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?), which was pretty successful when it came out late last year in Japan.

There are a mix of free and paid new DLC contents for Makai Senki Disgaea 2 Portable (which will thankfully come out to US as Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days this August) on the Japanese PSN right now. They look very interesting to me and hope they will make it to the English version eventually.

I wrote a little about Nippon Ichi’s horror adventure game Hayarigami 3: Keishichou Kaii Jiken File earlier and here is the PV released for the official website today.

NIS America shows plenty of games at their “Holy Drunken Shenanigans, Badman!” press event. No new games for PSP but there are new trailers for Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days and Holy Invasion Of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This? (Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida in Japan). The former will be out this fall while the latter is set for July.

Nippon Ichi’s urban legend-based horror adventure series Hayarigami has been well received in Japan so far with three PS2 games, a movie spin-off and a number of ports for both PSP and DS. The company announced last week that the third and concluding chapter will be out on PSP with the title Hayarigami 3: Keishichou Kaii Jiken File this August.

Set one year after the events of Hayarigami 2, all the familiar characters will returns with the addition of one new criminal department head. There will be five chapters in the game and the game systems are still “Logical Reasoning” and “Self Question”. The former requires players to form their own logic based on clues obtained when talking to suspects or witnesses while the latter will have effects on the development of the story. Sounds like something I will definitely play if I know more Japanese. A demo of the first game is out on the Japanese PS Store, time to check out the series. More screens after the jump.
